Lets get ready to record

Step 1: Schedule recording time

Go ahead and find a time that fits your availability to record. The episode will only take around 20 minutes, but I plan for longer just in case our conversation is that good! You can view and select any of the open time slots through the link below. If you are unable to find a time, please let me know and we will work something out!

Fall Quarter recording times:

Mon - Thurs: 11:20am, 12:10pm

Friday: 11:20am

Step 2: Prep Questions and Topics

As it is a podcast, I keep things very conversational rather than an interview. I would love to talk about your journey through Cal Poly and how it led you to where you are today. Below are a few prep questions to look over, but again, it will be a casual, fun conversation!

  • What is one of your favorite books or a book that has influenced your life?

  • How have you overcome an obstacle that led to a positive outcome?

  • Do you have any habits or routines?

  • How do you relax and spend your free time?

  • What advice would you give to a smart, driven Cal Poly student?

Step 3: Finding the KCPR Studio

I’ll be honest, it’s not the easiest place to find. So, here is a little map to help you find your way! The studio is located on the third floor of the Graphic Arts building (26 - 301). You will have to enter the building on the NE side to access the third floor. Once you’re up there, you’ll find two large windows looking into the studio and a big KCPR sign. It remains locked, so I will be waiting at the door, but feel free to knock if I’m not there! There is no food or drinks allowed inside except for water which I recommend bringing!

using skype

If you on recording remotely through Skype, go ahead and add me as a contact with my Skype username live:dkoz49

I will take care of all the audio recording on my end so just make sure you are in a quiet space and we’ll be all set!
